GUSHKA began as an idea in 2016, located in the pastures of Hutsulshchyna in the Carpathians—a place where sheep are more than livestock; they're family. Founded by Oleh Lukaniuk and Daryna Furmaniuk, we asked our neighbor Lyubov Rybenchuk, a third-generation weaver, to join our team and make our vision a reality. Together, we embarked on creating a range of products that include handwoven rugs, woolen blankets, intricate tapestries, comfortable pillows, and traditional Ukrainian clothing—each piece reflecting the essence of our rich heritage.
Today, we are more than just a brand. We are a community that respects craftsmanship, cherishes tradition, and values sustainability. Our products—from woolen clothing to pillows, rugs, and bedspreads—are living testimonials to the rich tapestry of Ukrainian culture and the untouched beauty of the Carpathian Mountains.
At GUSHKA, we are storytellers at heart, and every thread in our workshop has a tale to spin. We don't sell myths, we offer a slice of authentic mountain life, as vibrant and textured as our wool. Our mission is to revive and modernize the traditional crafts of the Carpathians while creating sustainable livelihoods for our local artisans.
Integrity: Honesty and transparency are woven into our brand just like threads in a loom.
Family: Two of our founders are a loving couple, and everyone involved in GUSHKA is considered family.
Sustainability: Our products are made from 100% pure, eco-friendly wool, sourced straight from free-grazing Ukrainian sheep.
Craftsmanship: We honor the time-tested skills of our artisans, many of whom have inherited their talents through generations.
We invite you to become part of our ever-growing family. Experience the real magic of the Carpathians, where every product isn't just an item—it's an emotion, a memory, and a step back into a world where craft meets comfort.
